Despite dooming news all over the world, I have some good stuff to share with you. A new music video from a young British singer, songwriter and simply a great girl Eve-Yasmine - GLOW UP is out now!
As you already know I have been working with Eve for the past several years and designed hair and make-up looks for the 'Losing You', 'Hold On Me' and 'Misty' music videos. This time we teamed up for Eve's new song - her new sound is more influenced by R&B and Soul vibes!
Glow Up is a mellow, yet uplifting song - it’s a celebration of self–love ‘I’m proud of my hustlin’, our growth and also a reminder that it’s cool to just go with the flow sometimes.
Written by Eve-Yasmine and produced by S.B.O. Eve-Yasmine recorded the vocals during her trip to Los Angeles with producer/songwriter/engineer/singer Redah (credits include Universal Music / Spider Man Into the Spider Verse).
Here is what I got up to on the shoot! The preparation for the video shoot started in the early hours of Monday morning at my home studio in West London, where we prepared a glamourous makeup and hair look on Eve. I wanted to experiment with Hollywood waves this time as I thought this hairstyle would look great in contrast to the funky location that is God's Own Junkyard. The venue I dreamt of shooting in for a very long time! It is a very unique place as it features millions of display lights and has the largest stock of vintage and neon signs in Europe.
A few days before the video shoot I came across the new L'oreal Matte Signature Liquid Liner Collection that I loved so much and I couldn't wait to use. 'Fushia' pink eyeliner from this collection was just perfect for the God's Own Junkyard part and "Snow" white liner for the second part of the shoot in the studio where Eve wears all black and white.
I hope you like the song and make-up and hair looks I created for Eve's music video Glow Up. Enjoy!
